Mo Hnatiuks News Story Re-Do

FLINT-  On the evening of April 21st, friends and family gathered to remember the late Jesse Goode, a 30-year-old Mid-Michigan father who's cause of death while incarcerated at the Genesee County Jail remains a mystery.
The candle-light vigil was themed "Justice for Jesse," as a large crowd grew in front of the Genesee County Jail on Thursday evening. Family and friends traveled from around the Mid-Michigan area to remember the life of the late Jesse Goode, with hope their organization may prompt an investigation as to the cause of Goode's death.
Jesse Goode, an inmate at the Genesee County Jail, died on Saturday April 16th, after a full cardiac arrest. His unexpected death remains under investigation by the sheriff's department. "It's really hard to grieve somebody when you don't know what happened," Goode's sister Kelly said.

"He said he was right with God, and man can't hurt me anymore," Goode's father Danny said. "He was excited to get out, to see his baby. He was going to get out in a week or so. He was just a good kid."
Despite Goode's personal struggles, his family says he was on his way to recovery, though his path to a better life cut too short. "He was always unselfish and giving. He just had something he needed to deal with and needed help, but unfortunately, he didn't get it soon enough," Kelly said.
