Social relations and policy junior Marcia LeVigne, zoology senior Elizabeth Ratzloff and IDS health studies senior Cortney Bouse cheer and rally at the rock on the corner of Farm Lane and Auditorium Rd. All three are members of MSU Students for Choice and helped plan and fundraise for the Planned Parenthood rally.
John Keserich, Field Manager for Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan speaks to students about the importance of protecting women's rights. "People have really begun to understand the what the agenda is; what the agenda is is to really strip women and low income people of access to health care services," said Keserich. "This isn't about abortion, this is about stripping low income women of access to basic reproductive health care services."
A protestor holds up a sign and chants at the rock on Farm Lane. Michigan State University Students for Choice held the protest in hopes informing others of a new agenda for health care services. A week ago the U.S. House of Representatives prohibited funding for any and all Planned Parenthood in the country; women are losing their rights to birth control, STD services, cancer screening and other reproductive health care services.
Social relations and policy junior Molly Korn stands on Farm Lane chanting "Mister, mister keep your laws off my sister," to show her support for women's rights. "The attacks on Planned Parenthood are directly affecting women's rights throughout the country, especially low income women," said Korn.
Students affiliated with MSU Students for Choice stand on Farm Lane and protest the protection of women's health rights. "We are all making our voices heard so as this measure makes its way into the state senate our senators will do the right thing and vote against the measure to defund title ten family planning and defund planned parenthood," said John Keserich, Field Manager for Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan.

Biochemical engineering junior Maureen Berryman finishes making a sign that reads "Honk if you stand with Planned Parenthood." Berryman and other students stood on Farm Lane chanting in protest of women's health care rights.
