March Is Reading Month at the Lansing District Library




Reading month is important to the library and effect many ages. Sally Holliday, the manager of the Burrow Book, said they get downtown workers, teachers, young adults and some children. For more events for March is Reading month events visit the Library Website.

Mike Beadle, an employee of Michigan State Archives, lives in the area and expresses his interest in music. "You never know what you are going to get here, they have classical, new, everything," he said. The Book Burrow is a non-profit that has 2,000 square feet an about 70,000 books and music.

Embracing March Reading Month, Natalie Novas, and Lansing Community College, 20, attends the Book Burrow Sale in the Lansing District Community Library. The library hold many events throughout March to embrace it's theme. Book Burrow is one of the constant things the library does to get people reading. "There are a lot of books to find here," said Novas.
Sally Holliday, Manager of the Burrow Books has been selling books for 30 years. "I try to match the book to whomever would have an interest," said Holliday. "Match the book to the customer." Natalie Novas didn't find the History book she wanted but did find many more.
